Responsible Gambling and Player Support in Arizona
Arizona's helpline is 1-800-NEXT-STEP. The national helpline is 1-800-GAMBLER. Both are free, confidential and available around the clock.
Warning signs worth taking seriously
Problem gambling rarely announces itself as a single dramatic event. It shows up as a pattern, and the pattern is easier to spot in someone else than in yourself. These are the signs treatment services consistently report.
- Betting more than you planned to, or returning to a session you had decided to end
- Chasing losses, meaning increasing stakes specifically to recover money already lost
- Gambling with money committed to something else, or borrowing to fund it
- Hiding the extent of play from a partner, family member or friend
- Feeling restless or irritable when trying to cut back
- Gambling to manage stress, low mood, boredom or sleeplessness rather than for entertainment
- Time distortion, meaning sessions that consistently run far longer than intended
- Relief when a session ends rather than enjoyment while it runs
One of these on its own is not a diagnosis. Several of them together, or one of them persistently, is a reason to use the tools below or to call the helpline.
Account controls, and why they matter more here
Every operator listed on this site provides some combination of the controls below inside account settings. On offshore sites these are the only controls that apply to you, which makes setting them a more consequential act than it would be in a licensed market.
- Deposit limits. A daily, weekly or monthly ceiling on what you can fund. Set this while you are calm, because that is the entire point of it. Reductions usually apply immediately and increases usually carry a waiting period.
- Loss limits. A cap on net losses over a period, which is a more direct control than a deposit limit for anyone who reinvests winnings.
- Session limits and reality checks. A timer that ends a session or interrupts it with a notice of elapsed time and net position. Time distortion is one of the most reliable warning signs, and this is the tool aimed at it.
- Wager limits. A maximum stake per bet or spin, useful for stopping escalation within a session.
- Cooling-off. A short account lock, typically 24 hours to 30 days, that suspends play without closing the account.
- Self-exclusion. A longer lock, typically six months to permanent, that should also remove you from the operator's marketing lists. Confirm that in writing.
Two practical notes. Set limits at the account level before your first deposit rather than after a bad session, and take a screenshot of the confirmation. If an operator makes a limit hard to find or slow to apply, that is information about the operator.
Arizona's statewide self-exclusion programme, and its limit
Arizona operates a statewide self-exclusion programme administered through the Department of Gaming's Division of Problem Gambling. Enrolling places you on a list that covers the state's tribal casino floors and its licensed event wagering operators. It is a substantive protection and worth using.
It does not reach the sites covered on this site, and this is the single most important thing on this page. Arizona self-exclusion works because the state licenses the operators it applies to and can compel them to honour it. No Arizona agency licenses an offshore casino, so no mechanism connects the state list to those operators. A player who has excluded themselves from every tribal floor and sportsbook in Arizona can still register at an offshore casino the same afternoon.
If you are relying on self-exclusion, you therefore need to do both things: enrol in the state programme, and set account-level self-exclusion at each offshore site individually. Device-level blocking software is a reasonable third layer, because it does not depend on any operator honouring anything.

Things that are true about the maths
Every game on every site listed here carries a house edge, and that edge does not soften over a long session. Published return-to-player percentages are long-run averages across enormous numbers of rounds, not a description of what any individual session will do. No betting pattern, staking system or timing strategy changes the edge on a slot or a roulette wheel.
Bonuses do not change this either. A wagering requirement is designed to be turned over at the house edge, which is why a 60x requirement on a large match is worth less than it appears. Gambling is entertainment with a price attached, and the price is the edge.
Protecting people who should not be playing
Arizona's minimum gambling age is 21. Some offshore operators publish an 18 minimum, which is that operator's own rule and not a statement of Arizona law. If minors have access to your devices, use the parental controls in your operating system and consider filtering software. Never share account credentials, and never let someone else gamble on your account.
